We report the first high spectral resolution X-ray observation of the Seyfert~1 galaxy MCG--6-30-15. The O~VII and O~VIII edges associated with the partially ionized warm absorber are clearly detected and measured; we also identify possible associated resonance absorption features as an explanation for what appear to be broadened edges. Strong emission lines, e.g. as seen in NGC~4151 (Ogle et al. 2000), are not observed. The broad iron line and Compton reflection continuum are clearly detected and resolved with RXTE. Chandra data favor Doppler and gravitational broadening as the interpretation for the MCG--6-30-15 iron line profile - the narrow iron line core (seen in the Chandra data) does not contribute a significant fraction to the overall iron line flux.
