We report on a 50 ksec observation of the hard X--ray source 4U1954+319 perfomed by BeppoSAX. The 0.2--100 keV spectrum is fit by a thermal bremsstrahlung or a power law modified by a high energy cutoff. A soft excess is present below 3 keV. We did not find evidence of pulsation during the observation. The analysis of spectro-photometric observations performed at the ING Telescopes in La Palma is also presented.
