[57.09] Spectroscopic Abundances of Solar Type Dwarfs in the Open Cluster M34

S. Schuler, J. R. King (University of Nevada Las Vegas), D. A. Fischer (University of California at Berkeley), D. R. Soderblom (Space Telescope Science Institute)

Abundances of numerous elements are derived for several solar-type dwarfs in the young open cluster M34 from high-resolution (R~45,000) Keck/HIRES spectra. Results are presented and discussed to address their implications for intra-cluster abundance scatter, Galactic chemical evolution, and stellar Li depletion. This work was supported by NSF grant AST-0086576 to JRK.
