[133.11] Asteroseismology of the roAp Star \alpha Cir Using the WIRE Star Camera

Using the camera on board the WIRE spacecraft, we observed \alpha Cir from 18 August through 29 September 2000. \alpha Cir is the brightest roAp star in the sky. Previous observers have detected a single oscillation mode at 2442 \muHz, split by the rotational frequency, though Kurtz et al. (1994) reported the marginal detection of four low-amplitude secondary frequencies. Our time series has considerably improved signal-to-noise compared with past attempts. However, though we do directly detect the rotation of \alpha Cir, we see no sign of the secondary frequencies reported earlier.
