[7.07] A Survey of the Literature on Double-Mode RR Lyrae Variables

C. A. Seven, T. M. Corwin (UNC Charlotte)

We will present a complete list of the known double-mode RR Lyras variables and some statistics on the periods, period ratios, dominant pulsation modes, amplitudes, and amplitude ratios for variables in globular clusters, the field, and in nearby galaxies. We will also present a summary of the current thinking on the cause of double-mode pulsation and any significance the study of double-mode pulsation may have for understanding stellar evolution.
