[14.02] Space Weathering Effects on Small Body Surfaces: Laboratory Fast Ions Bombardment

G. Strazzulla (INAF-Oss. Astrof. Catania, Italy), E. Dotto (INAF-OATo, INAF-OAR, Italy), M.A. Barucci (LESIA-Obs. Paris, France), A. Blanco, V. Orofino (Univ. Lecce, Italy)

Laboratory experiments are in progress to simulate the space weathering effects on small body surfaces. Different samples of minerals and meteorites have been bombarded at different fast ion fluences. Vis-NIR diffuse reflectance spectra obtained ``in situ'' and ``ex situ'' for the non-irradiated samples and after each irradiation, have been compared and analysed. The obtained results will be presented and discussed.
