[43.01] Structure Formation and Lensing Statistics in Dark Energy Cosmologies

M. Kuhlen, P. Madau (Astronomy and Astrophysics UCSC), J. Primack (Physics UCSC)

We present results of calculations elucidating the effects of a dark energy component on the formation of cold dark matter halos. A set of new high-resolution cosmological N-Body simulations with dark energy is analyzed to provide halo mass functions and concentrations. Using recipes derived from the simulations we assess gravitational lensing statistics of distant quasars as a probe of the effective equation of state of such a component.
