This poster focuses on the population of off-nuclear X-ray sources being discovered in the two Chandra Deep Fields; these two fields comprise the Great Observatory Origins Deep Survey (GOODS). These off-nuclear X-ray sources appear to be the higher-redshift cousins of the the somewhat enigmatic ultraluminous X-ray (ULX) source population discovered in many nearby galaxies. ULX sources are astrophysically compelling as they possibly represent either an unstable phase in the evolution of high-mass X-ray binary systems, in which one member is a stellar-mass black hole, or members of a class of intermediate-mass black holes. We use the recently obtained GOODS Advanced Camera for Surveys data to determine both physical properties of the ULX sources and of their hosts, making comparison with the local ULX population.
