[8.05] An Emission-Line delta Scuti? The Case of V382 Vul and Other Variables in the Field of NGC 6882/5.

E.G. Hintz, M.D. Joner, M.B. Rose (Brigham Young University)

During an observing run at the Dominion Astrophysical Observatory to collect spectra on northern \delta Scuti stars we found a star with an emission line in the middle of the H\beta feature. This star was identified as V382 Vul and has been reported as an emission line star by Henize (1976) and as a \delta Scuti by Pena et al. (1990). We will present photometric observations of this star to clarify its identification as both a \delta Scuti variable and as an emission line star. In addition, we will present photometry on a sample of other stars from this region near the open cluster NGC 6882/5. The data presented will include VRI observations and observations from a new H\alpha index. Spectroscopic data will also be presented for V382 Vul and V381 Vul (another \delta Scuti in the field).
