[14.12] Wolfe-Rayet Stars in the Galactic Cluster Cl 1806-20

J. L. LaVine, S. Eikenberry (University of Florida), J.D. Davis (Steward Observatory)

We report the discovery of two previously undetected Wolf-Rayet stars in the open cluster containing LBV 1806-20 and SGR 1806-20. We present near-infrared photometry and K-band spectroscopy of the three Wolf-Rayet stars present in the cluster and use our equivalent width measurements to classify them as two WC9 (one of which was previously identified in Eikenberry et al. 2003) and one WN4 with a possible O8/9 companion. The WC9's can be used to confirm the previously derived distance to the cluster of 15.1 kpc. We use this information to draw some conclusions about the star formation history and environment of the cluster.
