We present broad band photometry of the Hyades-aged open cluster NGC 2539 to re-evaluate its fundamental parameters. Observations were made on 17 January 2003 in the U, B, V, R, I filters with the WIYN 0.9m telescope in a central 20'x20' field. PSF photometry was performed using Daophot II, allowing for spatially-dependent PSF's and aperature corrections. Using U-B, U-V, and U-R (vs. B-V) color-color diagrams, we found E(B-V) = 0.07+/-0.01+/-sys and [Fe/H] = -0.09+/-0.05+/-sys. Application of Yale-Yonsei 2002 isochrones to multiple color-magnitude diagrams yields m-M = 10.65+/-0.05+/-sys, D = 1215+/-30+/-sys pc and an age = 650+/-25+/-sys Myr. This REU (Indiana Site) project falls under the WIYN Open Cluster Study (WOCS), a collaboration between Indiana University, Yale University, the University of Wisconsin, and the National Optical Astronomical Observatory (NOAO). This work is supported by NSF grants AST-1039617 and AST-0206202.
