[9.04] Known Variable Stars in GNAT/MOTESS Data

The Global Network of Astronomical Telescopes (GNAT) is using as a hardware prototype a system of multiple scan mode telescopes of the Moving Object and Transient Event Search System (MOTESS) of the Goodricke-Pigott Observatory in Tucson, Arizona. During the first two years of operation of the system, approximately 35,000 variable stars were observed of which approximately 200 were previously known. In this paper we provide details of the GNAT observations of the previously known variable stars, compare these results with previously published data, and use the observational results to help characterize the observational system.
