[62.11] Radio Emission from Young Stars in the Chamaeleon and Upper Scorpius Star Formation Regions

A. Brown, F. Day (CASA, University of Colorado), F. M. Walter (SUNY- Stony Brook)

We present radio continuum observations of low- and intermediate-mass pre-main-sequence stars in the Chamaeleon and Upper Scorpius star formation regions, obtained with the NRAO Very Large Array (VLA) and the Australia Telescope Compact Array (ATCA). Ten of the twenty stars observed in Upper Sco and seven stars in Chamaeleon are detected. One of the Upper Sco sources shows significant circular polarization at 6 cm. Several of the sources show significant variability.
