[34.05] Metallicity Signatures from the First Stars

A review of metallicity signatures from the first stars will be given based on observations of abundances in metal-poor Galactic halo stars, damped Ly alpha systems, and the intergalactic medium. The nature of the first stars will be discussed in connection with the chemical evolution of galaxies and the intergalactic medium.
