[128.04] Optical and Mid-Infrared Spectroscopy of Spitzer 24micron Selected High-redshift Starburst Galaxies

L. Yan (Spitzer Science Center, Caltech), G. Helou, P. Choi, L. Armus, H. Teplitz, L. Storrie-Lombardi (Caltech)

I will present the initial results from two spectroscopic surveys of a sample of 24micron selected starburst galaxies at high redshifts. The first is the keck optical redshift survey of a 24micron flux limited sample. I will show the redshift distribution and discuss the 24micron luminosity function and the evolution of dusty starburst galaxies at z ~ 1 - 2. The second part of this talk will focus on the mid-infrared spectroscopy of ULIRGs at z > 1 - 2 using the Spitzer IRS. I will discuss the PAH features in high-z starbursts and compare with the local ULIRGs.
