[23.04] Evolutionary Synthesis Models with Stellar Rotation for Young Populations

G. A. Vazquez, C. Leitherer (STScI), Geneva Group Collaboration

In this work we implemented the new evolutionary tracks for massive stars with rotation developed by the Geneva Group (e.g. Meynet & Maeder 2005) into the evolutionary synthesis code Starburst99. We analyze the effects of the stellar rotation on integrated parameters from young synthetic stellar populations, such as bolometric luminosity, ionizing photons, colors, mass loss, chemical abundances, ratios from different stars, such as WR/O, WC/WN, etc. We also compare the new models to several associations in the Milky Way and the Magellanic Clouds.
