We examine the effects of rotation on the stability of the stalled accretion shock in core-collapse supernovae. Like in Blondin & Mezzacappa (2005), we find that for non-spherical perturbations lower modes are unstable, in particular l=1 is unstable and always dominant. However, the rotation tends to inhibit the growth of such modes, and for high enough rotation even suppress it. We perform our numerical analysis with two different numerical codes: ZEUS-MP and VH-1, and obtain essentially identical results.
