[32.01] NASA's Exploration Vision and Laboratory Astrophysics

The role of Laboratory Astrophysics is examined in the context of NASA's scientific priorities. The current program, which primarily supports analysis of spectroscopic data from space missions is summarized. Scientific goals and objectives in the area of astronomy and astrophysics developed for NASA's strategic plan supporting the Exploration Vision are outlined. Future Laboratory Astrophysics needs are discussed.
