[95.03] FEPS (Formation and Evolution of Planetary Systems) Update

The ``Formation and Evolution of Planetary Systems" (FEPS) team has observed 330 nearby solar-type stars ranging in age from 3 Myr to 3 Gyr, using all 3 Spitzer instruments to study the evolution of circumstellar dust and gas. Recent FEPS results will be reviewed in brief, including: 1) over-all detection statistics compared with solar system evolutionary models and also with results from other Spitzer teams, 2) discovery of a 30 Myr old G star with substantial dust mass at ``asteroidal" temperatures but no detectable material at ``Kuiper Belt" temperatures, 3) very low limits on gas mass around another particularly dusty 30 Myr-old G star, 4) constraints on dissipation of primordial disks in terrestrial planet zones around stars younger than 30 Myr, and 5) detections and limits on planetary debris around 100 Myr-old solar-type Pleiades members. The Spitzer Legacy program is funded by NASA.
