[119.04] Detailed Virial Balance Analysis of Molecular Clouds in Three-Dimensional Numerical Simulations

S. Dib, E. Vazquez-Semadeni, J. Ballesteros-Paredes (CRyA-UNAM, Morelia)

We use high resolution, three-dimensional numerical simulations of magnetized and unmagnetized, isothermal and non-isothermal driven turbulence in molecular clouds to investigate the structure and dynamics of the clumps and cores that form in the medium. Emphasis is given on the correlations between the three-dimensional quantities entering the generalized Virial theorem and the projected quantities such as the density profile and the line of sight velocity dispersion. Scaling relations (i.e., Larson relations) are also presented and discussed. This work is supported by a Postdoctoral UNAM fellowship to S.D. and CONACYT grant 36571-E to E.V.-S.
