[133.04] Detailed Abundance Ratios of the Galactic Bulge

J. P. Fulbright (Johns Hopkins University), A. McWilliam (Carnegie Observatories), R. M. Rich (UCLA)

We present abundance results from Keck/HIRES echelle observations of 27 giants in the Galactic Bulge. Included are the abundances of up to 24 elements per star. We find a pattern of enhanced [alpha/Fe] ratios at very high metallicities ([Fe/H] values up to +0.5), yet the pattern is unlike that seen in either the disk and halo. When this information is combined with the old age for the bulge found by other methods, we believe the primary enrichment process of the bulge was Type II supernovae. However, the trends seen in the heavier elements at high metallicity resemble, with a few exceptions, the trends seen in the local disk.
