[71.06] UBV CCD Photometry of the Open Cluster NGC 2506 and Comparison to NGC 2420

We present UBV photometry of the canonical metal-poor cluster NGC 2506, imaged at the WIYN 0.9m telescope in November of 2004. Our results for the reddening, metallicity, distance, and age of the cluster, which were derived from PSF photometry and aperture corrections, are given. We then compare these results with those we derived for NGC 2420 from images taken on the same photometric night. This project contributes to the WIYN Open Cluster Study, a collaboration between Indiana University, Yale University, the University of Wisconsin, and NOAO. The work is supported by the National Science Foundation under grants AST-1452975 (REU) and AST-0206202 (to CPD).
