[142.05] Comprehensive Mass Modeling of CL0024+16 with Multiple Images and Shape Distortions

M. J. Jee (JHU), ACS GTO Team

We present a comprehensive mass modeling of CL0024+16 at z=0.395 , combining multiple images with shape distortions. Deep multiband (F435W, F475W, F555W, F625W, F775W, and F850LP) observations from the Advanced Camera for Surveys (ACS) allow us to obtain secure photometric redshifts of the objects, to examine detailed morphology of the multiply lensed galaxies, and to measure precise shapes of background galaxies. We experiment with both parametric and non-parametric approaches to reconstruct the dark matter distribution of the cluster and compare the results.

ACS was developed under NASA contract NAS 5-32865, and this research is supported by NASA grant NAG5-7697. We are grateful for an equipment grant from the Sun Microsystems, Inc.
