[133.09] A New Search for Warped Ionized Gas at the Southern Milky Way

J.C. Cersosimo (UPR at Humacao), S.L. Mader (CSIRO Parkes Observatory, New South Wales, Australia), D.E. Azcarate (Instituro Argentino de Radioastronomia, Pcia.Bs. As, Argentina), N. Santiago Figueroa (UPR at Humacao)

We show preliminary results of the H166α radio recombination line obtained from observations in direction of the fourth quadrant of the Galactic Plane. The search was made with the 64 meter antenna of the CSIRO located in Parkes, New South Wales, Australia. The search was motivated in order to obtain very sensitive data from of the ionized component which should be associated with warped regions of the Galaxy. The observations were obtained during March of 2005.
