[49.03] The NASA Science Mission Directorate's Science Program

P.L. Hertz (NASA Headquarters)

The NASA Science Mission Directorate sponsors a broad suite of basic and applied research that requires access to space. One of the guiding principals of the SMD's Earth and space science research program is to ensure the highest quality research is funded through open, peer reviewed competitive selections. This talk will describe the structure of the SMD science program, how the research program supports NASA's strategic objectives, and the opportunities for participation in the research program.
