We present initial results from the dispersed Fourier Transform Spectrometer. This new device couples a conventional FTS to a grating spectrometer to achieve a sensitivity increase of a factor of several thousand as compared to a conventional FTS. A laser-based metrology system provides precise PSF, wavelength and velocity calibration. The bandpass of the device is not restricted, and we conduct observations in the blue part of the optical spectrum where stellar absorption lines are deep and plentiful. We show spectra and radial velocity curves from known single- and double- line spectroscopic binaries, and systems with known extrasolar planets.
