[51.01] Overview and Status of the INTEGRAL Mission

C. Shrader (NASA GSFC)

I will present a brief overview of the INTErnational Gamma-Ray Astrophysics Laboratory (INTEGRAL) mission including its current opperational status and its instrumental capablities to set the stage for the subsequent topical scientific presentations. I will also describe opportunities for US participation, describing the NASA INTEGRAL Guest Investigator Program and suppport services availble through the US INTEGRAL Guest Observer Facility.
