[71.01] Session Overview

K.G. Stassun (Univ. Wisconsin - Madison), AAS Committee on the Status of Minorities in Astronomy Team

The purpose of this session is to enhance the visibility of, and participation in, the CSMA by informing the Society about the CSMA's mission, goals, and activities. We will summarize the CSMA's accomplishments to date, outline the Committee's short- and long-term agenda, and solicit ideas on (a) relevant issues, (b) effective methods and strategies for achieving the CSMA's mission, and (c) effective methods and strategies for engaging the broader community of the AAS membership. All AAS members are invited.
