[32.09] The USNO-B Catalogue, and a Search for Candidate Occultation Stars

S. E. Levine (USNO Flagstaff), A. S. Bosh (BU/Lowell), D. G. Monet (USNO Flagstaff)

This paper describes the new USNO-B catalogue, and presents a search for candidate occultation stars as a sample application. USNO-B is the successor to USNO-A2.0, and includes positions, proper motions, magnitudes in several colors, star-galaxy classification and associated uncertainty estimators for ~109 objects over the whole sky.
