[7.05] WIYN Hydra Spectroscopy of Stars in NGC 2264

T. Angle, C. A. Pilachowski (Indiana University)

High dispersion red spectra of 70 stars in the vicinity of NGC 2264 were obtained using the Hydra fiber spectrograph on the 3.5-m WIYN telescope at Kitt Peak. The spectra cover the region from 6480 to 6800A, including H/alpha and the Li I feature. We report here measurements of the stars' radial velocities, characterizations of the H/alpha profiles, and estimates of the Li I line strengths and abundances.

The work reported here is supported by the National Science Foundation through an REU supplement to AST-0205895.
