[159.03] SOFIA First-Light Science Instruments: Capabilities and Schedule

The first instruments ready for commissioning on SOFIA will be HIPO (high-speed optical occultation photometer, T. Dunham, Lowell Observatory, PI), FLITECAM (near-IR camera, I. McLean, UCLA, PI), FORCAST (mid-IR camera, T. Herter, Cornell, PI), GREAT (far-IR and sub-mm spectrometer, R. Güsten, MFIfR Bonn, PI), and FIFI-LS (far-IR and sub-mm spectrometer, A. Poglitsch, MPE Garching, PI).
