We present candidate strong galaxy-galaxy lenses detected in the Deep Lens Survey (DLS), a ground based weak lensing survey covering 20 square degrees to R~26. Lens systems are detected in the DLS using a new method based on the shape parameters of lensed galaxies (or "arcs"). We simulate the shapes of possible arcs in the DLS using real galaxies from deep HST fields as sources. The properties of the arcs are constrained in a parameter space which includes the third order (octopole) moments and ellipticity. The shape parameters of arcs are then combined into a multi-parameter probability space, from which candidates are selected.
